Favorite fictional character?
I’m currently reading Dracula, so I have to say Jonathan Harker especially when he called Dracula a “filthy leech.” I like how he sounds logical despite his situation of becoming a prisoner and the possibility of being drained by three crazy vamp ladies. He’s just an amusing character to read about in a horror novel.
Favorite flavor of ice cream?
What is your dream vacation?
Somewhere in Europe. I took some German, so I hope to visit any German speaking place. Also, Spain! I took some Spanish, so I want to go there someday. Hopefully.
Do you have an beloved stuffed animals?
When I was a child, I had one. I think I still have it, although it’s not in good condition. HAHA. I’m one of those sentimental people.
DO YOU HAVE ANY PILLOW PETS?! IF NOT, WHY?! THEY’RE AMAZING!
No. But if I won a million dollars and I successfully purchased a house, I would. Haha. Budget is tight for me, so I have to sell some books just so I’ll be able to purchase *new* and potentially favorite books. Thus, I don’t own any pillow pets.
Are you watching/reading anything interesting at the moment?
Reading Franz Kafka’s short stories one at a time. I really enjoyed Metamorphosis and I highly recommend it. Watching American Horror Story: Cult and SKAM.
Do you have any hobbies outside of reading/blogging?
Cooking/baking and brisk walking. I’m pretty boring, unfortunately. Haha.

Tips for surviving college (or just school in general)?
Join clubs and/or get a part-time job/internship. You need all the connections you can get, especially if you live in America. I say part-time, because education is important. You need the time to study and relax. Never settle for a C. Finally, understand the material (by making connections). Don’t just memorize your notes and terminologies. It will help you in exams (no matter what format).
“Nobody goes through life without having their heart broken and one day you’ll wake up and it will be okay.” – Alexa Chung, It
“We could never understand why the girls cared so much about being mature, or why they felt compelled to compliment each other, but sometimes, after one of us had read a long portion of the diary out loud, we had to fight back the urge to hug one another or tell each other how pretty we were. We felt the imprisonment of being a girl, the way it made your mind active and dreamy, and how you ended up knowing which colors went together. We knew that the girls were our twins, that we all existed in space like animals with identical skins, and that they knew everything about us though we couldn’t fathom them at all. We knew finally that the girls were really woman in disguise, that they understood love even death, and that our job was merely to create the noise that seemed to fascinate them.” – Eugenides, The Virgin Suicides
“One likes to think there’s something in it, that old platitude amor vincit omnia. But if I’ve learned one thing in my short sad life, it is that that particular platitude is a lie. Love doesn’t conquer everything. And whoever thinks it does is a fool.” – Donna Tartt, The Secret History
“Words can be like X-rays if you use them properly — they’ll go through anything. You read and you’re pierced.” – Huxley, Brave New World
“Many boys will bring you flowers. But someday you’ll meet a boy who will learn your favorite flower, your favorite song, your favorite sweet. And even if he is too poor to give you any of them, it won’t matter because he will have taken the time to know you as no one else does. Only that boy earns your heart.” – Leigh Bardugo, Six of Crows
“Cause, frankly, the way I see it, you and me? Inevitable.” – Alexandra Bracken, The Darkest Minds
What books will you recommend to EVERYONE?
I’m not recommending 1984 and the Harry Potter series because they are extremely popular books. 1984 is like the opposite of Brave New World. If you liked 1984, try Brave New World! It’s my favorite read from high school.
